Excellent read! Ms. Gruen masters character and plot with beautiful prose. I remained captivated and found myself caring for the diverse cast. Ms. Gruen successfully evokes a sense of the times, the desperate nature of survival during the Depression, as well as one’s attempt to salvage one’s sense of self as age betrays the body. The storyline is suspenseful, true to period, and woven through with a touch of romance. The setting is gritty and evokes the reality of Circus life on the road and the behind-the-scenes work required to attain the magical world the public craves. Well done!
Emotion Depth and Flesh

What you take from this book depends mostly on the type of person you are.

If you spend your life shaking your head at what others around you are doing “wrong”, while internally applauding your own goodness…if you subscribe to narrow-minded views which you call “the Word of God” but which really serve to spread hate and fear against things you don’t understand or which really aren’t any of your business in the first place…if you’ve spent your life denying yourself the joy which could have been yours in favor of doing what you were taught was “right”…if you have ignored the fact that it has been proven and recorded in history that the Bible was originally composed of much more than we know today, but due to man’s corruption (and fear of loss of power over those they ruled) was edited according to man’s agenda…Yeah, you hate this book because you feel as though you’ve been insulted. You will fixate on the fact that it states that there is no heaven or hell, no devil, no damnation. No vengeful, wrathful God to punish those wrongdoers around you. That everything you hung your hopes on isn’t real. After all, this is the God you’ve lived your life thinking you knew, and you’re probably afraid to think beyond that. That’s a shame, because you’re missing the point entirely.

Meanwhile, if you want to live a life of love, joy and peace…if you already believed prior to reading this that there must be more to life than what you see around you with your human eyes…if you already believed that we are all one, and that we are all a part of God, and that we are all meant for more than what we have been taught we are worth, that we are NOT naturally sinful or shameful, that we are all gifted with God’s love regardless of what we do, that we are perfect creations which make bad choices…you’ll love this book as I do, and you’ll refer back to it frequently as I do in order to reinforce the ideas and make them a part of your heart.

No real happy with this purchase. It doesn’t seem to measure weight consistently and there doesn’t seem to be a way to adjust the scale. I will say that it does looks nice.

This book was selected by a book club I am in and was loved universally by every member. The story was intriguing and the writing style superb. Loved it!

I find this friction mount to be very much superior to any of the suction mounts. It’s quick and easy to use and leaves no telltale rings on your windshield. It is very stable on the dashboard and can be moved to any position or angle that you need. Delivery in frustration-free packaging was also a plus.

I liked mine so much I have bought them as gifts for others with Garmin GPS units.

If you use really hot (I use boiling water) this machine does a great job of cleaning carpets. I do not think it was built for more than the occasional (2-3 times a year) cleaning. This is my second unit and the same problem that I had with the first one has arisen with this unit also. The brushes stop rotating. I am sure it probably happened because when I use the hand wand I did not disengage the brushes. Something I should have probably done. A little better design like brushes automatically disengage when wand is used would prevent this from happening, especially when this was a problem with the previous version. If you need something for the in-between the major steam cleaning by the pro’s, this should fill that need.

I searched for a new bathroom scale for a few weeks, but I kept coming back to the EatSmart Bathroom Scale. The sleek modern look as well as the digital viewing are beyond what I expected. You don’t even have to tap on the scale to turn it on. Just stand on the scale and immediately you see your weight including ounces, which is helpful for me as I’m trying to lose weight!! A definite A++++ choice!

First off I’ll say that I have the 8GB version of this, so this review is entirely in regards to that fact.
The fit and function of the iPod is fantastic. It’s sleek, good looking, very easy to use and even though it weighs next to nothing it is very tough and feels like it was built like a tank.
The web browser (Safari) is very reliable and fast, and the wireless works great. The range is a bit shorter than say my laptop, but it works far enough away. The apps you can download are plentiful and very easy to manage. The only bad thing about them is I wish a lot more of them were free. Once you download a half dozen .99 cent apps or so, the charges can start to pile up a lot.
My only problems with it are as follows:

The low-end model should’ve been 10GB, rather than only 8… which in reality translates to between 6 and 7 after the iPhone OS is installed (by default, of course).

Some extra customization features would’ve been good. Such as being able to put separate passlock codes for music, pictures, videos, etc. But that’s neither here nor there – to each his own.

Lastly, the internal speaker isn’t anything to get excited about. It’s very quiet and sounds somewhat muffled. The EQ is the standard, plain-jane “Rock”, “R&B”, etc. job. There is no definitive frequency range adjustment to speak of. However, I suppose you can’t expect that sort of feature on a mp3 player. I’m an audiophile though, so I’m picky in that respect.

Other than those minor issues, I really enjoy the iPod. The performance and reliability is top-notch and there are seemingly endless options and unique “tweeks” to tinker around with on it. It’s basically a handheld computer and I’ve hardly used my home PC to browse the web at all since I got my iPod. You can even get apps to text message for free! Also, if you get the microphone for it you could use it as a phone as well. But with that said, the online features will obviously only work when you are connected to a WiFi network… unlike a mobil

This scale originally came to me in perfect condition. I was very excited to try it for the first time. It has a very nice presentation, more than what I expected for the price. It worked very nicely the first few times that I tried it, however, I have now had it for about 2 weeks, and it is non-functional. I only used it a few times. I would store it standing up beside my wall after each use,to save space. Yesterday I came back to use it after almost a week, and it had broken. The scale consists of a top glass portion and two plastic ‘feet’ on the bottom, which are apparently only secured by a weak adhesive. The adhesive on one of the feet came undone, and even after I pressed it back together, it does not work. I am well below the weight restrictions of this scale, so I do not understand why this would happen, except if it was just poor quality. I am sending it back today.

The only reason this scale does not get a lower rating is that the customer service department promptly responded to my angry rant.
